The members of the Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology will benefit from ICPO Academy stipends and certified online education taught by world-class faculty.
August 7, 2025 – Wiesbaden, Germany, and Osaka, Japan. The ICPO Foundation is pleased to announce that Professor Akram Al-Ibraheem, President of the Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOFNMB), has officially signed the endorsement of the ICPO Academy for Theranostics by AOFNMB during the SNMMI Annual Meeting 2025 in New Orleans. As a leading regional organization, AOFNMB is committed to advancing nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and radiopharmaceutical sciences across Asia and Oceania, fostering education, collaboration, and clinical excellence in the field.
Radiomolecular Precision Oncology, also known as theranostics, represents a paradigm shift in cancer care today. Therefore, world-class standardized education of healthcare professionals is key to ensuring sustainable patient access on a global scale.
The ICPO Academy for Theranostics offers a comprehensive online educational program, developed by the ICPO Foundation and powered by its global ICPO community of international experts. Through the four pillars of radiomolecular precision oncology, radiochemistry, medical physics, and nurses and patient management, the academy features 50 hours of content taught by over 30 leaders and experts in the field. The primary audiences of the ICPO Academy for Theranostics are clinicians, researchers, physicists, and radiochemists, as well as nurses and technologists, who seek to integrate theranostics in patient care and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. The lectures are available in ten different languages including Chinese and Japanese.
“We are honored by the support of AOFNMB and excited to welcome applications from healthcare professionals across the Asia and Oceania region to the ICPO Academy for Theranostics. Together, we aim to accelerate the advancement of theranostics through certified education,” explained Odile Jaume, CEO of the ICPO Foundation.
Through applications, ICPO Foundation is offering a number of stipends to the ICPO Academy for Theranostics on a first-come first-served basis to AOFNMB members. “By endorsing the ICPO Academy for Theranostics, AOFNMB reinforces its dedication to providing its members with high-quality education in this rapidly evolving field,” said Prof. Akram Al-Ibraheem, President of AOFNMB. “This initiative will help empower professionals across our region to advance patient care through theranostics.”
The cooperation between ICPO and AOFNMB focuses on training healthcare professionals, fostering interdisciplinary, and promoting best practices in theranostics to ensure that every patient receives the most effective and personalized care possible.
